As the Social Media Team Lead for the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America, I directly oversee all posts that go out onto all of our public social platforms. Each post is reviewed by myself before getting scheduled for posting - an example of a copy-editing interaction with my team members looks like this:

DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM

As a Disney College Program alum, I gained valuable on-the-job experience working in the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.  I participated in college course work, networked with leaders, and built transferrable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service, and effective communication.

As an alumni of this one-of-a-kind internship, showcasing my experiences and accomplishments after my program is very important to me. In c
ollaboration with the American Council on Education College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) and Credly, I am now able to do so with a well respected ACE CREDIT Badge.

Firm bound in brotherhood,
Gather the clan
That cheerful service brings
To fellow man.
Circle our Council fire,
Weld tightly every link
That binds us in brotherhood,

In September 2017, Hurricane María - a category 5 hurricane - was the strongest storm to make landfall on the island of Puerto Rico in over 80 years with wind speeds that reached 175 mph. The Concilio de Puerto Rico – the local Boy Scout council on the island – is dealing with a number of different issues: no power across all of the council's beloved Camp Guajataka, all buildings flooded, many fallen trees hindering transportation and recovery operations and running water is hard to come by. In response to this disaster, the Northeast Region chief and OA chairman, as well as the Northeast Region Area 5 director, tasked Section NE-5 (of which the @logiayokahu506 and Concilio de Puerto Rico are members) to create a patch set to aid a relief effort for our brothers in Pierto Rico. For more information about the completed set, please visit northeast.oa-bsa.org

EDUCATION IN SOUTH AFRICA

Education is a right, not a privilege. The students of South Africa have taken their education into their own hands, and will do what is necessary to ensure that education is accessible for all.
